Summer football runs from Friday 7th Nov - 28th Nov.

Guideline for all ages

  • Please arrive 10 mins before your game so the matches can start on time
  • It is recommened all players wear shinpads and boots, but this is not compulsory
  • We will provide bibs for one team to wear per match
  • Years 3 - 8 will have referees, Pre-school to Year 2s will require parent help to run the games
  • In the case of bad weather, we will cancel no later than 4pm on the day
  • Please take time to review the rules below
  • Summer football must be fun and enjoyed by all


Years 3-8 rules

  • 6 or 7-a-side teams
  • Throw ins as per winter guidelines
  • Goalie can only throw the ball or kick from the ground (no kicks or punts out of the hands)
  • Offside rule applies from the retreating line
  • Attacking players must be behind the retreating line when the goalkeeper restarts from a goal kick or open play and cannot advance until an opposition player has touched the ball or the ball has gone over the retreating line without being touched.
  • 15 minutes each way
  • 3-minute Halftime (quick drink, change ends and restart)
  • Kids are strongly encouraged to wear shin pads, sports shoes or football boots (no metal sprigs) and are required to wear a shirt in their team colour
